How the coronavirus Protection Levels apply to Falkirk Business Hub

Dec 24, 2020

Introduced at the beginning of November, Scotland is now operating a five-tier coronavirus Protection Level system. We’ve looked at what this means for our tenants and other business users of Falkirk Business Hub.
The new Protection Level system is designed to be flexible, with restrictions applied based on local conditions rather than applying blanket measures across all of Scotland. The system is likely to be in place for months to come and we need to be ready to adapt our operations depending on which level we find our area in.

The good news for us and many businesses out there, is that we are in a very different place to the situation we found ourselves in when lockdown started in March 2020. We’ve made changes to our premises to make them COVID-secure. We’re also home to tenants who are classed as essential workers and therefore allowed to remain open. This is the case even when our area is placed into restriction Level 4. As a result, the building and our reception area will remain open to provide essential support services to those tenants who need to use the building.

We’ve created an overview of the main differences between Level 4 and the other levels of restriction. These apply to the public areas of the Hub and each tenant business will be responsible for letting their own customers know what restrictions apply to them.

Levels 0 – 3

As always, our number one priority is to provide a safe environment for our tenants, staff and visitors. We’ll continue to monitor the coronavirus situation and will update our guidance to tenants and other businesses as and when we need to make any further changes.

Thanks for your support and understanding in these unprecedented times. Please get in touch if you need any further information.
