Permanent makeup is the infusion of medical grade pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. The pigments are sterile, safe and hypoallergenic. The procedure is designed to replicate a realistic, natural and perfectly applied makeup.
The treatment does not have the permanency of a regular tattoo, as the pigment is not inserted as deeply into the skin. Permanent makeup is designed to fade, every person is different but it can be anything up to two or three years.
All About Brows – The Treatment
The infusion process is carried out using an electronic hand piece which is traced precisely over the pre-drawn shape. Some clients experience mild discomfort during the process, but it is often only described as scratchy or similar to having brows threaded and the enjoyment of having a beautiful set of brows having undergone the treatment, usually outweighs the discomfort!
You can read more about the treatment through the useful list of FAQ’s on the SLS website here.
Makeup for Mandie
The Hub’s charity for 2017 is Breast Cancer Now as a result of Stacey Leigh’s client Mandie Stevenson, a local Falkirk girl who is an ambassador for the charity. Earlier this year, SLS hosted a special makeup masterclass in support of Mandie to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now and to help raise awareness of women’s cancer. The event was a huge success and Stacey Leigh even appeared in The Falkirk Herald!
Team SLS have undertaken further fundraising events and continue to support Mandie as she lives with her terminal illness.
