Free Heart Start Course – Tuesday 17th June at The Hub

Free Heart Start Course:

Heartstart training teaches you what to do in a life threatening emergency.

There are around 60,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the UK every year. When someone goes into cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces their chances of survival by 10 per cent.

What is Heartstart?

Heartstart training courses are free and only take two hours. The course is suitable for all ages and covers a range of Emergency Life Support Skills (ELS) including:

•dealing with an unconscious casualty

•cardiac arrest

•suspected heart attack

•choking

•serious bleeding.

Everybody who attends a Heartstart course will receive a handy credit card size reminder of the drills that were taught and, also a recognised certificate of attendance.
