We have kept Falkirk Business Hub open for as long as possible, however due to the unfolding situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have taken the difficult decision to close Falkirk Business Hub as of 6pm this evening.

This closure affects the main reception, HubLounge area and all meeting rooms.

All tenants will still have 24-hour access to their offices.

There will be a cleaning services during the closure complying with all government advice on COVID-19.

The building will continue to be monitored remotely on CCTV and we have 24 hour alarm service.

Going forward Royal Mail services to the Hub will be uplifted directly from the sorting office and mail will be placed into tenant offices.

If tenants have arranged for items to be delivered to the Hub, please make arrangements with the delivery company to collect your items or have them redirected to an alternative address.

All mail and parcels that are currently at reception will be transferred into tenant offices today.

Please do not hesitate to email and with any queries.

We will continue to provide updates when possible via our Social Media channels or visit which will be regularly updated.

We have emailed a detailed document provided by Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce to all tenants that details all support available and information known.  We will continue to circulate information as we find out and would ask if any tenant has further information please share with us and it will be circulated.

If there is any further information of support that the Hub or Bellair can provide please get in touch.

Thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented and uncertain time.

There have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the Hub and we continue to ensure the importance of maintaining good hygiene throughout the building.  In addition to practicing preventative measures to reduce the spread of germs within our facilities, we have altered our standard cleaning routine to apply antibacterial products to all surfaces and high touch areas.  This includes the reception area, all meeting rooms and the HubLounge desks.

Finnegans First Week in the Falkirk Business Hub

As many of you may know Finnegans opened this week in the Hub and the buzz has been felt throughout the whole building and throughout Falkirk.

Chef and Finnegans owner, Giles Nicholl has a simple approach to creating a great place to eat.

“Eating out shouldn’t have chains attached”

You may recognise Giles as a familiar face in Falkirk town centre where he’s well known to local diners and businesses. He re-opened the big red doors that previously was Findlays on Monday September 3rd with a new identity; Finnegans. Giles is bringing his Irish roots and experience in establishments such as Findlays, The Champany Inn and Unicorn Inn to satisfy the taste buds of the people of Falkirk. This independent eatery will only serve quality produce that is locally sourced from suppliers such as Oliphant Bakers, Falleninch Farm, Browns Butchers and The Cake Lady Falkirk.

Finnegans offers quality, affordable breakfasts, sandwiches, paninis, lunches and great tasting coffee supplied by Puro. Giles aim is to offer the best of Irish and Scottish cuisines as well as some international influences.

“Our food is prepared fresh to order bringing to life great ingredients in a quality, home cooking style” say Giles whose Irish roots have taught him to create food that is unpretentious to they eye and memorable to taste.

Finnegans is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30 pm and Saturday 9 am to 4.30pm. Closed Sundays. Finnegans will also cater to private parties.

Whether you choose to enjoy the comfortable ambience of Finnegans or food to go, the team will make you feel very welcome.

Facebook Feedback:

“I am lucky enough to work at the Hub and have been excitedly waiting on this place opening. Went for coffee and a cake this morning and a takeaway lunch thereafter and everything was fantastic. Lovely coffee, amazing empire biscuit and a filled roll that well and truly packed with filling. The place looks great and Giles and all his team are such a happy, friendly bunch. Lovely to see the place absolutely buzzing on its opening day. I’m sure every day will be much the same going forward.”

“Just had a wonderful breakfast at Finnegans today. Delighted that Falkirk has once again got a top-notch place for diners to enjoy. Huge thanks to Chef Giles and staff for a warm welcome. We will certainly be back here.”

“Absolutely fantastic, I couldn’t recommend these guys enough. The service is second to none and the food is excellent. Will definitely be back”

Mandie Stevenson with our Little Mix Competition Winners

On the 27th of July, we hosted the two lucky ladies who won our once in a lifetime fundraiser for Breast Cancer Now.

Megan Erskine (18) and Emily Davidson (18). Both winners were delighted to have been selected as the winners of our exclusive prize, as well as supporting the great cause of Breast Cancer Now.

Donations were invited through a dedicated Justgiving page giving donators the opportunity to win a VIP prize package which included tickets to see Little Mix at The Falkirk Stadium. The package also included a fabulous makeover from our very own Stacey Leigh Spalding and limousine chauffeur to the concert, courtesy of Ultimate Private Hire.

There was a buzz in the air when the girls arrived with a friend each, there were lots of giggling and anticipation for the night ahead. Stacey and the team worked their magic on the girls and made them all look stunning (I am sure you will all agree).

The concert was a roaring success with Little Mix putting on a great show, showcasing all their greatest hits as well as some new ones. We hope the girls had a fantastic night and we loved seeing them enjoying themselves. The pop superstars performed all of their biggest hits including “Touch”, “Shout Out to My Ex” and “Black Magic” as a part of their Summer Hits Tour 2018

Janice Archer from Stacey Leigh Spalding make-up said, “The girls had an amazing day from start to finish, and were delighted to look and feel glamorous for the Little Mix event. The charity was close to the winners hearts, and it was very special for everyone within SLS (Stacey Leigh Spalding) studio to be a part of the collaboration with the Falkirk Business Hub.

Breast Cancer Now Scotland is the leading breast cancer charity in Scotland. The charity is dedicated to stopping women dying from breast cancer and believes that, if we all act now by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live.

To help the achieve this goal, Breast Cancer Now Scotland fund cutting-edge research into the disease in Scotland. They collaborate with the brightest researchers and leading organisations from around the world.

Mandie Stevenson’s story is also another important reason for us to support this charity.

Mandie, who is from Falkirk, was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in 2015 and was told she had five years to live. She finished chemotherapy two years ago and is continuing to make positive progress in her recovery.

Falkirk Business Hub believe in giving back to those in need and are always happy to welcome charities. We continue to support Breast Cancer Now Scotland. Mandie Stevenson is a true inspiration and we are proud to support such an invaluable cause.

Get Social…

The Hub hosted another informative social media seminar with Peter Graham from Bridge Interactive, a design and digital marketing consultant who collaborates with Jigsaw PR & Marketing.

The seminar provided a comprehensive follow up to a recent workshop held by Peter, which covered the fundamentals of the main social media channels for business and discussed trends in digital marketing.

Peter delved into the practicalities of social media marketing for small to medium businesses.  There were some interesting learnings.

Social media is fast overtaking traditional media channels giving businesses and individuals the opportunity to directly communicate with their customers and other stakeholders.  Stats show that 93% of buying decisions are influenced by social media, this highlights how important it is for small businesses to engage socially and plan a strategic approach to social media. Consider the tone of voice you’ll use across all channels because your social media profile is an important reflection of your business, and its leadership.  Engaging with people through social media requires two-way communication. You aren’t dictating, you’re engaging directly with customers so ultimately managing good and bad conversations.

Another interesting statistic highlighted in the seminar is that 13-year olds can now join LinkedIn! As a professional social channel, having younger demographics shows how integrated it is in career building from a young age.

Facebook for business has the capacity to set up out of office responses, as well as automated replies. Customers look for speed of response and convenience so now more likely to message a business than to pick up the phone.  An interesting development is that Facebook adverts can be tailored to show when the target audience is online. This maximises your Return on Investment (ROI).

Instagram is fast overtaking Facebook in terms of popularity. Owned by Facebook, Peter highlighted that adverts created for Facebook can be seamlessly placed on the Instagram channel so a cost effective way of maximising presence on both channels.

Positive and managed engagement is essential for start-up companies.  One of the best ways to improve positive engagement is through useful and engaging content, and copy that’s educational, rather than promotional. Identifying your buyer’s problems and creating solutions with your content is a valuable tip!

The world of social media and digital marketing is fast paced, these channels can be an invaluable asset for any business yet incredibly daunting to the uninitiated. For future advice on Social Media please visit- or
